Cool.

I liked the interactive part of it, I thought it flowed fairly well.
I also think you have a very nice sense of color.
However, I thought animation could use a bit of work (although for a class, I can't blame you :P).

And the only other thing I can criticize is just me personally, i hate hearing the iMovie songs in flash movies. Just go to the audio portal or something. The voice acting clarity was satisfactory.

Yeah i would have much prefered to use something from the audio portal, but wasnt allowed because it was a uni project and that would have counted as Plaguarism.

hmm...

I think the effort is a good one, and obviously you can't get everything, but you missed some really important things. Project Freetown for one, and some others. Especially if you were planning on making it solely about 2007, it could have done without a few on the list.

Nice effort though!

Thanks, but this was mostly a list of things that stood out for me. If i plan this again on '08, i'll start earlier and i'll get a real list from NG itself.I doubt I'll redo this though.

Large amount of potential

The drawings/animation are a joy to watch, really. The humor is definitely there. The only problem is the voice acting. The sound quality is really irrirating. You might want to consider getting a new microphone, or having someone else do voices.

Otherwise, I'm really impressed by the animation.

That's a little dissapointing to hear that the sound quality isn't good, because I actually did buy a new microphone for $100. Oh well, all that aside, I'm very happy to hear you liked the other aspects of it. I know I'm not a great voice actor, originally my dad was suppose to play the part of Ordinary Man, but he thought I did a better job, and since I don't live with him anymore and it was hard to get him to do it right, I decided to do the voice myself. It's just easier to do as many voices myself as I can I guess. Anyhoo, thanks again for the review, glad you liked the animation.

Very nice, the blend of animation and live action looked good as always.

yea it's short, but i did it in one night, and i didn't have much more interesting footage. Mr. Krinkels only shot very few times, that darn man, so i didn't get a chance to animate much more.

Orgy

OK let me explain the sequence of watching this movie.

Stage 1: graphics are cool, I've always liked your crazy characters, since NGC. I was actually really ticked off with the way the reading the lines worked, it just didn't really work for me. I thought this movie would have been alot better with voice acting, or just no speaking at all.

Stage 2: Even though I was annoyed, it started to get better. There were some really cool action sequences and explosions.

Stage 3: Holy shit, did I just see that? There were some REALLY cool animation techniques you used, like the blur when all the troops are firing through the force field.

Stage 4: HOOKED! Hell yeah this is awesome. This was really cool because it was VERY cinematic. The two final bosses were very enjoyable to watch.

So in the end, I really liked it, and you did a great job.
Just a few things to fix; make it voice acted, or just make it work better. It sometimes is hard for you to see what's wrong because you KNOW the lines so you read it a lot faster.

Also, in the menu, the buttons are not easy to read. I mean I didn't have trouble figuring out which one was which, but menus are expected to be really clear and stuff, you used a weird text technique.

So yeah, I went from thinking it was very overrated, to enjoying it a WHOLE lot.

Good.

Heres the thing. I thought the way you synced the lyrics was REALLY cool, like awesome.
However, I think you should not have had that been the whole video.
It would have been an amazing "part" but not all of it.

Also, the part with the black bars that changed height in sync to the music was too long, you are going to lose people there.

Anyway so yeah, it was pretty cool and I watched the whole thing, however if you had at least had something in the bigger picture happening during all the synced words it would have been less repetative. Really cool though, I like the song.

well i mean the synced words WEREN'T everything. There were also other parts, like the ending, gears, boy-on-bike part, and the bars part you mentioned that didn't have the camera following line part at all.

The use of the photo may have been unorthodox in the seemingly fbf handdrawn sex-fest but I found it fitting and funny.

Hey!

Wow you've improved soooo much since you first showed me your work.
This was pretty nice as far as random animations to music go, nice job.

One thing I can suggest is you try a different style perhaps, or expand on this one, make it unique. Only because it's a style I see often in flash. It's all up to you though, that's just why I scored you low on style.

So anyway, yeah, keep animating and you will keep improving, you got so much better. Thanks for the mensh in the credits :P

One of the best I've seen so far today, quite awesome.
It's nice to keep seeing different things from you swain, just as it was when time squad was released. It was fresh and I liked it alot!

Some of the music seemed out of place, but it wasn't too awkward.

The "Underworld" music I found to be very Tekken-ish. ;)
